Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician at BRCC, you will be responsible for the higher-level maintenance and repair for our coffee roaster, grinding equipment, and packaging equipment. This entails coordinating with the Director of the Roasting Department, Head Roaster, and shift roasters to schedule maintenance, identify and diagnose problems, and make any needed repairs in a timely manner to reduce the impact to production



  • Monitor, inspect, and facilitate operator level maintenance
  • Basic technical knowledge and ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical diagrams, blueprints, parts diagrams, and other technical documents
  • Continue to develop and maintain spare parts inventory for machinery as well as supplies and equipment for maintenance and repair operations
  • Perform high level maintenance items including, but not limited to: exhaust pipe swaps, bi-annual maintenance, yearly maintenance, and roaster overhauls
  • Continue to develop and maintain equipment maintenance plans and schedules
  • Attend coffee related meetings and advise on upcoming maintenance activities, recent repairs, or areas of concern and concentration
  • Ability to diagnose, develop a plan to repair, and execute repairs in a timely manner
  • Record, file, and report maintenance operations and repairs



  • High school level education or equivalent
  • Prior maintenance experience required. Preferably industrial or machine related.
  • 3+ years’ experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of PLC controls and industrial electrical highly recommended
  • Welding and fabrication experience preferred
  • Strong ability to multitask with attention to detail
  • Capable of meeting strict time sensitive deadlines
