We are looking to add a Buyer to procure products that are essential for our company’s day-to-day operations. This position reviews prices and quality and ensures optimal stock and inventory levels. In addition to, evaluating vendors, updating contracts and preparing reports (e.g. on orders and costs.), this role will create good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is of high quality and delivered on time.


  • Assortment Selection: pricing, category/brand mix, and seasonal selection of inventory for the category
  • Vendor Negotiations: discounts, terms, pricing policies, promotional periods, PO compliance and issues management, image use, price-matching, and special/exclusive buys
  • PO management for vendor catalogs for SKU/PO worksheet creation, building POs and ensures on-time submission to vendors, timely management of PO edits, past dues and carries out all PO type builds and maintenance
  • Works with Demand Planners to set pricing strategy,
  • Works with Demand Planners to establish PO Receipt Flow, inventory allocation, sell-through targets, manages Return to Vendor (RTV), and ensures inventory management strategy aligned with company-wide financial goals
  • Research potential vendors
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices
  • Set up and maintain order guides
  • Support new Café openings, as needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned


  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field highly preferred
  • 5+ years of proven work experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Agent, or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors), RFI, and RFP
  • Hands-on experience with purchasing software and ERP implementation
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
  • Negotiation skills
