Head of Production

THE ROLE

Black Rifle Coffee Company is experiencing explosive growth and seeks to hire a Head of Production to ensure the successful development, execution, and delivery of content for the company.  This position is best suited for someone with natural ability to inspire excellence in both creative producing and physical production across the teams they manage.

YOUR TASK

  • Production Management:
    • Work closely with the VP of Media to develop and consistently update a 6 to 12-month content production 
    • Manage BRCC’s master content production calendar and the allocation of production talent (both internal and external) to fulfill the slate on an ongoing basis
    • Work in partnership with senior creative teams to bring concepts to life, while being the face of production to internal production teams and external vendors
    • Management of workflow for each production - including bids, production, postproduction, wrapping, paperwork, archiving
  • Budget and schedule new project bids
  • Oversee talent and casting efforts
  • Oversee the negotiations and management of contracts with production personnel, external clients, vendors, and other business partners
  • Freelance Talent Management:
    • Recruit and manage production personnel when project is greenlit
    • Work with freelancers to uphold the BRCC production guidelines and standards as jobs begin prepping and go into production
    • Accept wrap books and accounting wraps from freelance production staff as jobs close
  • Perform audits and check for accuracy and uphold standards
  • Search, screen and manage relevant freelance producers, directors, shooter/editors
  • Participate in strategic and long-range planning

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in a creative role, producing award-winning content
  • 10+ years’ experience in development and/or production, with a proven track record of creating high-quality digital content within scripted and unscripted formats
  • 8+ years’ experience in short-form and/or daily production
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Producer level, managing a creative staff and large teams including writers, producers, talent, and multiple projects simultaneously
  • An intuition for creating entertaining content, ability to identify the ingredients that will make a video highly engaging to BRCC’s core consumer audience
  • Record of utilizing available resources with maximum efficiency
  • Strong awareness of internet culture, memes, and content trends
  • Deep knowledge of social platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) and what variables can affect a video's performance
  • Strong network of industry contacts and vendor relationships, including writers, directors, producers, shooters, and post personnel
  • Well versed in production and post-production processes
  • Able & willing to keep up with the demands of a fast-moving creative environment and adapt quickly to evolving processes and workflows
  • Flexibility in schedule and willing to work weekends, as well as travel on-location, when necessary
  • Experience as a post-producer a plus
  • US Military Veteran a plus
