THE ROLE

Black Rifle Coffee Company is experiencing explosive growth and seeks to hire a Copywriter for the Marketing team. This person will create and edit copy for a variety of marketing communication including campaigns, advertising, email, SMS, and collateral.

YOUR TASK

  • Write authentic, entertaining, and concise copy that reflects our brand voice
  • Create copy to be used in advertising campaigns, emails, SMS, and other marketing collateral
  • Designed creative and compelling calls to action tailored to specific audience segments and interests
  • Work closely with campaign management and advertising teams to create assets for a variety of campaigns 
  • Work closely with reporting and analytics teams to design tests and optimize copy based on results
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
  • Takes personal accountability for on-time deliverables.
  • Ideate based on simple human truths or observations. Measure your ideas not only against high creative standards, but also against business objectives.
  • Identify audience segments and tailor copy to drive both engagement and conversion
  • Build productive relationships with the Marketing and Creative teams to foster open communication and ensure alignment across marketing campaigns
  • Enforce and follow established internal brand and style guide to ensure content aligns with brand positioning, voice and tone
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and work with the entire team to concept and develop results-driven creative solutions

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  •  Bachelorís degree in English, Writing, Journalism, or similar discipline
  • 3+ years experience copywriting for creative brands; retail/lifestyle preferred
  • A strong portfolio with a variety of samples (long and short form)
  • Demonstrates a strong command of the structure of language, both formal and informal
  • Possess a wide-breadth of writing abilities from long form to headlines, calls-to-action, brand manifestos, script
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Google Suite, and similar software applications
  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills, with minimal amends from proofreading
  • The ability to take / provide constructive and positive feedback
  • Demonstrated experience creating copy for search engine marketing, social media ads, email campaigns, and display ads 
  • Demonstrated experience developing copy and messaging designed to accomplish specific marketing objectives such as customer conversion, retention, and brand awareness
  • Have an in-depth understanding of current trends across the industry and continually seeking out innovation and improvements
  • An understanding of what language, structure, and value propositions will resonate with our customers
  • Outstanding organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple requests and responsibilities
  • US Military Veteran a plus
