PR Communications Coordinator

THE ROLE

Black Rifle Coffee Company is experiencing explosive growth and seeks to hire a Public Relations Communication Coordinator to handle all aspects of publicity and press relations.

YOUR TASK

  • Assist in executing communications plans to grow awareness and drive a positive narrative of the Black Rifle brand through earned media and publicity
  • Assist in executing a media relations strategy, crafting pitches and outreach to achieve national and local placements across print, radio, and TV
  • Work closely with external communications firms to amplify efforts and support broader business strategies
  • Write op-eds, press releases, and talking points
  • Work in collaboration with marketing to leverage marketing activities for publicity, and play a part in crafting marketing campaigns to amplify earned media potential
  • Build relationships with thought leaders and press across relevant categories including food and beverage, entertainment, business and finance, and news
  • Seek out and secure interviews and appearances for key BRCC leadership on podcasts, TV shows, and other key media channels

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in public relations for consumer brands, beverage industry experience preferred
  • Expert understanding of the local and national media landscape, particularly in the food and beverage industry, and relationships with key members of the media
  • Demonstrated history of crafting stories and garnering publicity for product launches, community impact, thought leadership, and other consumer-facing activities
  • Expert ability to craft talking points and write narratives to provide maximum storytelling and publicity impact
  • US Military  or Veteran is a PLUS
