Logistics Coordinator

THE ROLE

A Logistics Coordinator at Black Rifle Coffee will facilitate communication between production, sales, and distribution teams to ensure the efficient transportation of products to their required destination.  This position will review purchase orders, coordinate with transportation providers, prepare shipping documents, monitor transit, and document shipping costs.   For this role, you should have strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving capabilities.  You’ll create and maintain good relationships with key vendors to streamline shipping and transportation processes.

YOUR TASK

  • Review purchase orders and requirements with appropriate department for accuracy
  • Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
  • Make special shipping arrangements as necessary
  • Tracking and fixing shipping errors
  • Manage transit reports
  • Manage activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
  • Continuous review and reporting of freight costs
  • Develop processes that make the supply chain more efficient 
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in Business/Supply Chain or equivalent work experience(s) 2-3 years in a Logistics role
  • 2+ years of proven work experience in a logistics role
  • Experience with ERP software
  • Experience with TMS software
  • Understanding of all modes of transportation, Domestic and International 
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and negotiating with vendors).
  • Analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysis
  • Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • US Military or Veteran a plus
